The WWF Environment and Disaster Team organizes bi-monthly continuing education seminars on topics related to environmentally responsible disaster management which serve as a space to share lessons learned and build a community of practice.
Watch the recording of the January seminar on “Severe Wind Events: An Early Warning System for Madagascar Fishing Communities”, where the expert Mr. Toky Sylvestre presented on the “MITAO forecast” an early warning system that was developed to improve the safety of fisher-folk by informing them about local weather forecasts.
